My first attempt of poached egg on Valentine’s Day this year. Not too good looking.
- Boil the water, and let it simmer.
- Add vinegar (Vinegar helps the egg to hold its shape by causing the outer layer of the egg white to congeal faster. The eggs will become skeins of protein tangling up in the water without vinegar).
- Crack the egg into a bowl, and using the bowl, slowly and gently place the egg into the water.
